Ever have one of those days when you play fourteen consecutive hours of computer solitaire, when it gets to the point that you can only hope to remember how to blink, when you can only vaguely manage a meaningful grunt in reply to the questions in your own head?
I can now say that I have.
Eventually, though, I shall fall asleep – probably face down on this infernal keyboard – and hopefully reclaim my soul from that wicked game while I dream.
Alas, for now I must figure out which of those damned red queens to play.
Just a few more games, I promise.

Well, I played *six* consecutive games of darts (cricket) today--and won them all. I wouldn't say we're even, but maybe there's some weird obsessive thing in the air (over the entire eastern half of the country!).

Incidentally, what happened to part 4 of the SOW? I can only hope that it has been delayed not by today's weird unblinkiness, but by revisions aimed at providing more fascinating details about that enigmatic figure, The Houseguest.
